Work hard, aim high, have fun!
Michael School in its current building is 125 years old today! Everyone celebrated by dressing up as we would have in 1894 when the first pupils entered and started their lessons. We talked about the history of the school, participated in Victorian-style lessons and even had separate playgrounds for boys and girls for one day only! Every pupil was given a packet of sweets and a yoyo to remind them of our special day. Thank you to Jo Callister for being our (not too scary!) Victorian teacher. We have all had an amazing day. Back to smiling tomorrow- you may notice that we have some serious faces due to copying children from Victorian photos!
