Work hard, aim high, have fun!

On Friday 15th October, we had our Harvest Assembly in school. We look in our old school logbooks which started in 1875! In there there was lots of entries talking about how school had closed for the day to allow for children to help with picking potatoes and weeding the turnips at harvest time in the past... a bit different to school today!
We also talked about the importance of the IOM Foodbank to support families in the present day. Our children very kindly donated lots of items to send there from us here in school. These will be sent with the collection from the parish Church as a donation from the whole village! Thank you so much to those of you who donated items, you really do make a difference to families on-island.
